What I wore – curvy couture roadshow
I am having trouble knowing where to start this post. Do I tell you about the months of excitement and group Facebook messages that led up to our en-mass exodus of the Queensland blogging community to Melbourne for the curvy couture roadshow.
I could tell you about how awesome our hotel suite was, and how much fun it was rooming with three of the best friends a girl could ask for (four on the saturday night when the darling Nat joined us)
The incredible fashion seems as good a place to start as any.
I had, with the help of the girls been outfit planning for weeks before we were due in Melbourne. I wanted a stand out outfit for the runway show on the saturday night and something cool and comfortable to wear on the sunday to the market day, along with several other casual outfits for over the weekend.
So here is what I wore to the curvy couture roadshow. I have wanted a tutu for quite sometime, but never had the occasion to wear one, this was the ideal time and place to showcase such a piece. I had a good trawl of the internet, but i couldn’t quite find what i was looking for, so I headed of to spotlight and got the trusty sewing machine out. Two days and a lot of cutting and stitching later I had the perfect tule skirt.
The top I ordered from boohoo and it worked really well, although much more see through than I realised. I accessorised with lashings of pearls, a cute gold clutch from Colette and some nude kitten heels.
Every where you looked at the curvy couture roadshow, were beautiful curvy women in incredible clothing, the atmosphere was incredible. I have been asked “who was your favourite designer” and “what was your favourite piece from the show”. I honestly can’t decide, there was so much that rocked my world it is impossible to pick. Keep an eye out for my next post a round up of the whole weekend, with some serious photo overload.
