Curvy Couture Roadshow part 2
The curvy couture roadshow runway show was one eye popping beauty after the next. Seraphim clothing did not disappoint, with there bold prints and pops of colour, such as this beautiful green and blue jewel Bohemia dress.
I also loved the reds in this Gypsiana midi skirt and off the shoulder top. It took me of to somewhere tropical sipping a drink with an umbrella in it.
I grabbed a couple of pieces for myself on the sunday at the market day. I am in love the beautiful cuts, and comfortable fabrics are rocking my world.
Merri by design blew my mind. I was woo hooing from start to finish while the fab models strutted the runway in the Merri range.
As soon as i spotted this incredible cape I was smitten, I told the people sitting next to me that no matter what I would be taking it home with me.
I mean come on it is amazing isn’t it???
Unfortunately on the sunday at the market I got up close and personal with said cape, and OMG it was beautiful. warm soft white pure cashmere with leather trim…. to die for. But alas my sensibilities took over, I live in Queensland, I would be lucky to wear it once or twice a year. I couldn’t do it justice.
The range really appealed to me, I could see myself wearing most of the pieces. The monochrome colour scheme with pops of colour was really impressive.
Another piece that screamed my name was this beauty by Lisa Kerr Designs . This elegant wrap dress is so up my ally. I would wear it so much. I was so enamoured with the dress that I contacted Lisa to make sure I knew when it was being released so I didn’t miss out.
The range was bursting with beautiful layered pieces that would be great additions to any wardrobe.
Fellow QLD babes Huudaverti showed off there eye catching range. It was full of beautiful colour and texture.
I mean come on, look at this incredible creation.
Simply Christine was a brand I hadn’t seen before, boy was I in for a treat. This quality of the pieces was stand out. I loved so much of the range, and after checking out there website, I could fill my wardrobe with there pieces. Such as this incredible outfit.
I was also really impressed with this beautiful geisha wrap jacket, the cuts of this range is exquisite.
How cute is the cap sleeve on this beautiful Nyata dress. Can we also take a second to bask in the beauty of the model, wow.
Hows this for glittery elegance I loved the touches of texture throughout the line. I am looking for an event to warrant one of theses pretties.
Misty Belvidere was another new gem that I discovered at ccr. The stunning kobi stole the show in this bombshell gown.
How stunning does the designer behind the brand and the model look on the runway.
Camilla Jayne shared there pretty whimsical collection with us I have also, fallen in love with a fur collar on there website, they also have lots of beautiful accessories.
I don’t know if I have the confidence to rock this incredible sheer dress from Bombshell vintage but god I hope to it is so out of my comfort zone, but the model looks incredible in it.
Did someone say sequins and velvet…. they sure did
I have left this brand till last, not only as it is getting late and I’m trying not to nod off, but also I have an un natural love for pyjamas. Any of my family or friends would tell you I spend my to much time in my pi’s, so Big blossom pjs was a stand out for me.
The soft pastel colour scheme and the beautiful cotton fabrics grabbed my attention quick smart.
Who wouldn’t want a pair of super cute, high quality pi’s to snuggle up in.
Well I think thats enough from me, curvy babes from all around, you have no excuse not to look a million buck, with incredible designers like this at our disposal.
Of you go and start exploring all that is to offer, I hope to see you at the next curvy couture roadshow x D
Makeup from Curvy Couture roadshow
Sophie from Ginchy Salon shared with me the looks they were going for on the runway.” The makeup Curvy Couture roadshow focused on intensifying each models natural beauty. We achieved this by creating an individual contour pattern, bringing in the cheeks and enlarging the shape of the eyes.”
The team created a smokey look using greys, golds and black on the eyes as well as wasp eyelashes on the outer corner of the eyes to created width and depth. The models lips were a focal point, the makeup artist used Klara cosmetics Flaming red matte lipstick to achieve this.
For the hair a slightly vintage look was achieved focusing on the models natural hair type. The team worked with curls and shape to create some timeless looks. Some of the models with longer hair had beautiful french braids worked into their looks.
All of the models look amazing, their confidence shone so bright on the catwalk. The vintage inspired hair and the bold red lips were such a sophisticated look.
The hair and makeup team hit it out of the ball park. Check out Ginchy salon on Facebook.
My makeup from the curvy couture roadshow
I am still trying to get the hang of blogging about not only makeup but also fashion. I was so focused on my outfit and getting glammed up that I didn’t get good photos of my makeup on the night. Here is a blurry cab selfie I took on the way to the show.
The look I went for, is soft and elegant. Its my go to look when I want to look polished and not over done.
I will give you a list of the products I used this look and show you what products I used.
I applied colour tattoo from Maybelline in colour 55 inked in pink over the lower lid and blended it through my crease. I then applied a soft taupe over the lower lid. I then added a light grey onto the outer conner of the eye and blended it through the crease.
I then intensified the outer eye and the crease with a darker grey.
I lined my tight line and upper lash line with Inglot’s black gel liner and smudged it out to create a softer look.
I used my go to concealer, the salmon concealer from Eve Pearl, under my eyes and on a couple of spots. I had packed my fabulous Element two airbrush machine as it is so light and compact, so I airbrushed my foundation also using the element two airbrush foundation.
I then filled in my brows using my favourite brow powder by Final touch brows.
I applied a pair of my favourite lashes from Model Rock, using there lash glue which has replaced Duo lash glue in my personal and professional makeup kit and added some mascara.
I then contoured my face using my Inglot contour powder. I highlighted my cheek bones, nose and cupids bow with the hourglass ambient light powder in incandescent light. I am obsessed with the hourglass highlighters and blush at the moment.
I also used the hourglass blush in mood exposure on the apples of my cheeks.
I finished the look with my Madame Rouge Makeup comfort wear lipstick in Bella, the perfect soft pink.
A spray of Model in a bottle setting spray and I was good to go.

Curvy Couture Roadshow – The Runway – part 1
Getting ready for the Curvy couture roadshow on saturday evening, can only be describes as a mad scramble. Five women two bathrooms, and airbrush a GHD and some eyelash glue, and ladies running around in their knickers, the rest is a blur.
When we arrived at the ACMI , had a few pics taken on the red carpet, then found our seats (after finding the bar) .

The night started with beautiful lingerie from Miss Scarlett did it, and what a way to start I fell in love with so many of the pieces. My favourite was the black spotted corset.
Followed by this beautiful beige and red set, I would wear this set a lot. So pretty yet practical.
Sonsee women killed it with some of their classic tights and some shiny new additions. After hearing some glowing reviews I picked up quite a few pairs of tights. How hot do the models look rocking the uber comfy tights.
Hope & Harvest, one of my favourite brands hit it out of the park again, I can see so many of the new range working their way into my wardrobe.
I fell in love with this beautiful green dress worn by Kat, as soon as this is available it will be mine, I can see it featuring heavily through out autumn and winter.
This beautiful black dress and leopard print top was another favourite of the night for me.
If you are after a new swimsuit look no further than Beyond the sea swimwear I don’t know what I loved more how super cute the swimsuits were or how confident and hot the models wearing them looked.
If I have to pick a favourite of their range this black and white with a hint of red suit would be mine.
Harlow showed us some incredible pieces the stand out for me was this devine black Heartbreaker dress, I mean come on how could you not love something this classic and sexy.
This post is getting a bit out of control, so I think I will break it into two. Stay tuned for more curvy Australian goodness.

What I wore – curvy couture roadshow
I am having trouble knowing where to start this post. Do I tell you about the months of excitement and group Facebook messages that led up to our en-mass exodus of the Queensland blogging community to Melbourne for the curvy couture roadshow.
Stamford plaza Melbourne
I could tell you about how awesome our hotel suite was, and how much fun it was rooming with three of the best friends a girl could ask for (four on the saturday night when the darling Nat joined us)
The incredible fashion seems as good a place to start as any.
I had, with the help of the girls been outfit planning for weeks before we were due in Melbourne. I wanted a stand out outfit for the runway show on the saturday night and something cool and comfortable to wear on the sunday to the market day, along with several other casual outfits for over the weekend.
So here is what I wore to the curvy couture roadshow. I have wanted a tutu for quite sometime, but never had the occasion to wear one, this was the ideal time and place to showcase such a piece. I had a good trawl of the internet, but i couldn’t quite find what i was looking for, so I headed of to spotlight and got the trusty sewing machine out. Two days and a lot of cutting and stitching later I had the perfect tule skirt.
The top I ordered from boohoo and it worked really well, although much more see through than I realised. I accessorised with lashings of pearls, a cute gold clutch from Colette and some nude kitten heels.
Every where you looked at the curvy couture roadshow, were beautiful curvy women in incredible clothing, the atmosphere was incredible. I have been asked “who was your favourite designer” and “what was your favourite piece from the show”. I honestly can’t decide, there was so much that rocked my world it is impossible to pick. Keep an eye out for my next post a round up of the whole weekend, with some serious photo overload.

As most of you would know, I have kept my blog makeup focused as well lets face it its my thing, but so is fashion. To be more specific plus sized fashion as I am a plus size beauty and proud of it. So I figured now was as good a time as any to jump ship and start a new section on my blog dedicate to all the beautiful clothing and accessories that share my makeup filled world.
I am really fortunate to have incredible friends that share my love of fashion and have inspired me to move in this direction, so here it goes my first plus size fashion post.
Last friday was the brisbane launch of the talented Nikki from Styling you book following on from her popular blog series.
I struggled with what to wear to such an event, I knew it would be full of fashion forward people and the weather was not the best and I wanted to be fashionable yet comfortable. (pretty much my aim everyday)
After speaking to my dear friend Melissa fromSuger coat it about what to wear and apart from telling me in slightly mocking tones that she would be wearing the new 17 sundays faux leather joggers, (Yes i was coveting them like the rest of the plus size world.) I still had no idea what I was wearing.
It was quite cold and a night time outing so I figured skinny jeans and boots were a win. I paired my city chic jeans with a cute tank top and striped cardigan from Autograph. I cinched the waist with a cute belt also from autograph and wore my brown knee high boots either from city chic or autograph again, I cant remember and the print has worn off the soles.
The Birkin also made an appearance, in all its orange glory.
So on to the event, It was held at the beautiful state library building in brisbane city. Melissa and I drove down from Gympie friday afternoon, picking up our friend Amanda along the way
Melissa, myself, Amanda, Rachael and Lisa
We arrived and acquainted ourselves with the bar and mingled until the formalities started. It was great to catch up with some of our other bloggie friends and meet some new ones. The night was a huge success and if you haven’t already pick up a copy of Nikki’s book, it has been a great bed time read for me, with lots of practical help and ideas.
“can you take my photo with Nikki?” apparently not lol
I hope you have enjoyed this post, I would love some feedback xx D
